Who do we contact about officially changing the mascot for an international holiday? Jesus? The President? Anyway, it's time we retired the Easter Bunny and embraced the Easter Gorilla.

This is Gladys Stones, a 1-year-old gorilla baby at the Cincinnati Zoo who was rejected by her mother, raised by humans who dressed like a gorilla and taught her how to think like a primate, then introduced to a surrogate gorilla mom, M'Linzi.

And this year, Gladys participated in the zoo's annual Easter egg hunt for the first time.

All of the gorillas got in on the fun though. Some maybe had a little too much fun.

Elsewhere, this Bonobo, Kanzi, learned how to start a bonfire and roast marshmallows:

Which means that all she needs to learn now is how to pick up a box of Honey Maid graham crackers and she can make s'mores.
