After two seasons judging The X Factor, Demi Lovato has some words of wisdom for the American Idol contestants on Wednesday night's Top 7 performance show.

The singer stopped by American Idol and hung out with mentor Randy Jackson where she offered critiques and advice…without the pressure of actually judging them.

"I think the contestants are really good. I think everyone has to let lose a little bit, though. I was still waiting for the big hurrah," Lovato told Ryan Seacrest in a behind-the-scenes interview for E! News. But there was one contestant who stood out above the rest for Lovato: Jena Irene.

"She's really good. She's a star for sure," Lovato said.

Lovato sat alongside Simon Cowell as a judge for two seasons of Fox's The X Factor. But don't expect to find her behind a judging desk again anytime soon. When asked if she missed it, Lovato said, "Not really."

Lovato's now on tour, meeting fans. "That's exactly the reason why I don't miss judging right now because being on the road and seeing the faces of my fans, literally face-to-face, right in front…it's just so incredible."
