Like father, like son. Well, 31 years later, that is.

When Prince George touched down in Australia with Prince William and Kate Middleton on Wednesday, the 8-month-old future King of England was adorable as always—right down to the supercute outfit he wore as his mommy held him at the airport.

But why does his get-up look so darn familiar?

Ah, that's it!

William sported strikingly similar attire while in the arms of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace way back in 1983.  And looking just as sweet!

The royal trio's trek to Australia today came after they spent more than a week touring New Zealand.

Upon their arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with a legion of fans outside the Sydney Opera House, where William gave a short speech in which he mentioned Princess Diana.

"My mother's deep affection for Australia—which you were so kind to reciprocate—needs no reminder," William said while speaking to those in attendance. "We really look forward to our time here together as a family. Australia is an inspiring place, as this amazing Opera House shows so vividly, and I know that a truly unforgettable few days lie ahead. Thank you."

Later, George was presented with a wombat-shaped stuffed animal by Australia's Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove. Somewhat appropriate, of course, given how "wombat" was Diana's nickname for William when he was George's age.
