The body of Peaches Geldof has been released to her family.

The news comes just one day after an autopsy on the daughter of musician Sir Bob Geldof was completed, with the results proving to be inconclusive.

A spokesperson for the North Kent coroner told the BBC, "We can confirm that the body has been released to the family for funeral arrangements to be made."

Meanwhile, a toxicology analysis is now being conducted in order to determine what caused the death of the 25-year-old. However, authorities note that test results could take several weeks.

Geldof's body was found at her home in Kent on Monday after police followed up on a "report of concern for the welfare of a woman."

Her father said in a statement that the family was "beyond pain."

Peaches "was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

Geldof was married to musician Thomas Cohen and had two young sons.
