It's the beginning of the end.

The premiere of the seventh, and final, season of the Mad Men is just around the corner (It's Sunday, April 13!), and although we're sad to see our favorite period drama coming to a close, we take comfort in the fact that we're not alone.

We recently caught up with stars Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss at Mad Men's PaleyFest celebration and discovered that the cast is just as bummed as we are to say goodbye to Sterling, Cooper & Partners. (Or whatever other name they change the firm to this season!)

So how would Hamm like to see Don Draper's journey end on the AMC hit series? We're spilling scoop on the final season and sharing exclusive first look photos, including the dapper pic of Hamm above, from the premiere!

"We've been a very tight cast and crew and family for a long time, so it's going to certainly be sad to see that end," Hamm admitted to E! News. "It's kind of off in the distance. I think maybe once it gets on the air and we start shooting these last seven [episodes], it might sink in a little bit more."

So how would the 43-year-old actor like to see the series end for his infamous character? He spilled, "Whenever I try and guess what [creator Matthew Weiner] is going to do I inevitably end up embarrassing myself. I really haven't, but I've trusted Matt for almost eight years now and over seven seasons and I think that trust has been fairly well-founded."

Peggy Olson, Don Draper's former assistant, has had one of, if not the most, dramatic character evolutions of the series. As a result, Moss is reluctant to let Peggy go as the drama comes to a close. "It's definitely starting to get emotional," she explained. "We're starting to feel it and seven is not a lot. It's going to go by really fast. It's bittersweet."

The final season of Mad Men takes off Sunday, April 13, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
