You may be seeing more of Michael Strahan on the small screen in the near future.

A source tells E! News that the 42-year-old retired NFL player is in talks to joining ABC's Good Morning America for various segments. The network declined to comment.

And don't worry, if Strahan does end up part of GMA, he won't be leaving Live! with Kelly and Michael. The morning host will do his gig at GMA at 7 a.m. and then hurry over to Live! for his 9 a.m. slot. Talk about a busy schedule!

The morning talk show recently faced a shakeup with their lineup of talent. Longtime anchor Josh Elliott announced that he was leaving the ABC show to head over to NBC Sports, and will be replaced by Amy Robach.

In an e-mail sent to the ABC News division's staff, ABC News president Ben Sherwood said, "As many of you know, we have been negotiating with Josh these past several months."

"In good faith, we worked hard to close a significant gap between our generous offer and his expectations. In the end, Josh felt he deserved a different deal and so he chose a new path," he continued. "I want to thank Josh for his many contributions to GMA and ABC News. Later in the week, we will bid him farewell."

The ABC News executives who oversee GMA have been reportedly holding talks with Strahan for months. Strahan's role could be announced later this week.
