Promoting a new film is always a fashionable affair, and in the case of Emma Watson and Noah, she's taking her red carpet duties very seriously.

So seriously, in fact, that her ensembles have been much more formal and grown-up than we're used to seeing on the 23-year-old star.

For her most recent appearances, the gorgeous actress selected a range of sophisticated-yet-somber ensembles that are demure and well, far from daring.

Just last night Watson wore a full-skirted duchess satin gown with long sleeves and a modest neckline by Oscar de la Renta in New York City at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

The elegant gown seemed a bit stuffy for the young actress, so we're grateful she paired an on-trend bright orange lip color, an unexpected navy suede pump and sizable gold cuff to update the overall look.

For the Berlin premiere, Watson wore a simple sleeveless racer back gown with a black tulle overlay by Wes Gordon that showed off her slim figure thanks to a thin belt and ribbon bow detail at the waist.

Ana Khouri earrings, silver rings and Christian Louboutin heels made for subtle finishing touches to her understated ensemble.

And finally, our favorite among the bunch has to be the laidback black-and-white ensemble by J. Mendel featuring a skin-baring surplice neckline paired with sleek black trousers.

A deep side part and dark red lip added a classic old Hollywood touch to her modern outfit.
