It's safe to say Lady Gaga's little monsters will be pleased with her latest music video/ARTPOP film.
In the artistic 7-minute-long video for "G.U.Y.", the bold pop star, who premiered the video on NBC's Dateline Saturday night, first appears face down on the ground in a sheer bodysuit wearing dirty angel wings. An arrow is also stuck in her back.
Upon finding her at their doorstep, a pair of cloaked men carry into their palace, cover her in flowers, dunk her in water and revive her.
Meanwhile, stars from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills including Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Kim Richards and more strum violins, harps and guitars and play the violin as she recovers. Giggy the pup even makes an appearance, strutting with his mom as she powerwalks with Gaga through a building.
And when Gaga reappears, she's in a white crop top and boy shorts, a bronze cut out swimsuit, and more revealing outfits, jamming with the residents of the palace, as Andy Cohen's head croons from the sky.
Gaga filmed the video recently at the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, Calif., with board member of the Hearst Castle Preservation Foundation, Rumor Sutton, telling E! News exclusively Gaga "researched the castle, read books and watched videos," prior to choosing the location and "was a real fan, and a lover of art."
"We haven't let a video shoot here in over 50 years, but, we felt Lady Gaga would help introduce a whole new generation of people to the castle," he continued.
Two days before the shoot (which involved over 175 people) was scheduled to begin, Sutton told E! News the pop star wrote a $25K check for a water supply study, and also shot a PSA to help promote water conservation.
"In addition to the 25K, her and her parents donated 250K to the foundation, paid for all the employees overtime who worked on the shoot, and all of their meals," he continued. "The sales from the castle do not touch the amount of money needed to maintain the artwork, pay our employees etc. Her donation was such an amazing help."
Prior to the big reveal, Gaga posted details about the song and video on Instagram, writing, "G.U.Y. stands for GIRL UNDER YOU and its video is out tonight! 2min airing 8pm tonight on @nbctv full 7min video on @vevo right after! #GUY."
