Jonathan Cheban was not about to let Sarah Michelle Gellar rain on his girl's parade.

Kim Kardashian's bestie came to her defense on Twitter after the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star posted a tweet slamming the April 2014 Vogue cover featuring the E! star and her soon-to-be hubby Kanye West.

Basically, once Anna Wintour's latest creation was revealed, SMG went to the social media website and threw some shade:

Shortly afterward, Cheban responded to Gellar's post with his own question:

Ooooooh (this would be the perfect moment to pull out that Z-snap you've been wanting to do).

Although we'd love to report that there was a super-juicy back-and-forth between the two over this, that's not the case. SMG hasn't replied to Cheban's tweet back and we're guessing she's not going to.

Prior to the Twitterversy, Cheban tweeted, "Congrats Kim and Kanye on your gorgeous Vogue cover!"

He wasn't the only one to tweet his congrats to the couple for their Vogue debut. Kendall Jenner wrote, "soooo major sister! this is gorgeous!!! @KimKardashian @kanyewest @voguemagazine," while mom Kris Jenner said, "Gorgeous!!!! @voguemagazine @kimkardashian @kanyewest #amazing #stunning #soproudofyoutwo#AnnieLeibowit."

Naturally, Kim also took to Twitter to gush about her latest mag cover. "This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! O M GGGGGG!!! I can't even…" Yeezy, who rarely tweets these days, felt it was the appropriate opportunity to do a little 140-character update (although, he didn't need that many).

"#TRILL Thank you @voguemagazine," he wrote.
