Before Louis C.K. and Bradley Cooper shared some humorous moments together in American Hustle—ahem, the humping scene—the comedian was mocking the 39-year-old actor without even realizing it.

Flashback to 2009 and Louis C.K. randomly talking about Inside the Actor's Studio during an interview.

"You know it always occurs to me, when you have an actress stands up during, one of the people in the audience and says ‘I'm an actor, what can I do, and asks Sean Penn or whoever. What can I do to reach your level, or whatever,'" the 46-year-old said. "And you just want to say, 'that's it. You never will be famous. You'll never be famous. There's no way you asked Sean Penn a question and then you're gonna be huge.'"

Well? Louis C.K might want to rethink that specific episode.

Thanks to this viral video, we time travel to 1999 and a longhaired Cooper asks Penn an in-depth question that had nothing to making it in Hollywood.

"Hey Mr. Penn, my name is Bradley Cooper," the unknown actor said at the time. "I'm a second year actor. My question is regarding Hurlyburly. What was it like to revisit a character Eddie after a 10-year hiatus? Did you have new discoveries, did you find that it was a different approach because you had already done this character before?"
