Watch: Kate Winslet Shuns Baby Weight Obsession

Kate Winslet does not understand the fuss about losing baby weight in a hurry.

The Divergent actress, who welcomed son Bear with husband Ned Rocknroll on Dec. 7, attended the film's premiere on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

"So much attention is drawn to this thing of you know, post-baby body and how people did it, and I kind of think it's awful that so much focus is put on that," the British beauty said to E! News.

She continued, "You know, we're not supposed to drop all this weight. You spend nine months expanding your body for this baby to grow in and that doesn't disappear overnight."

Is the Oscar winner doing anything different at the moment to get back to her pre-pregnancy body?

"Honestly, I haven't been doing anything yet," the mother of three explained. "Mother nature has been a little kinder to me this time, than my previous pregnancies. Nursing, busy, baby, life."

Winslet revealed shortly after Bear's birth that getting back to her former figure was the last thing on her mind.

"Having just had a baby, I'm not going to be thinking about my arse," she said in the February 2014 issue of Glamour U.K.

Bear joins older half-siblings Mia, 13, and Joe, 10. Kate and Ned quietly wed in December 2012.
