Bad Teacher, Ari Graynor, Kristin Davis

School's in session and Ari Graynor is at the head of the class in CBS' new comedy Bad Teacher.

Based on the movie of the same name, Graynor stars as Meredith Davis, a desperate (sort of gold digger) woman who fakes her way into a teaching position with zero credentials. At the school, she manages to wrap everyone around her finger, including Irene (Sara Gilbert) and Principal Carl Gaines (David Alan Grier), but Ginny (Kristin Davis) is immune to her charm and suspects not everything is kosher with Meredith and sets out to expose her. Veronica Mars star Ryan Hansen plays gym teacher Joel and Sara Rodier rounds out the cast as Lily, Meredith's friend's smart and awkward stepdaughter. Hilary Winston, Gene Stupnitsky, Lee Eisenberg, Jimmy Miller, Sam Hansen and Michael Lasker serve as executive producers.

The Bad Teacher cast is filled with comedy pros. Graynor starred in the breakout hit For a Good Time, Call… in addition to Fringe, The Sopranos and The Sitter. Gilbert, who co-hosts CBS's The Talk, has also appeared on The Big Bang Theory and previously starred on Roseanne. Grier is known for In Living Color and Davis spent six seasons and two movies as Sex and the City's Charlotte York.

Bad Teacher's class begins on Thursday, April 24, at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
