Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's upcoming movie opposite Cameron Diaz, The Other Woman, is definitely not a case of life imitating art.

After a picture of the costars kissing on the film's set while shooting a scene were published by tabloids—without any clarification that they were simply acting—speculation subsequently surfaced that the actor was being unfaithful to his wife of 16 years, Nukaaka.

What's more, Coster-Waldau's spouse began receiving letters about her husband's supposed infidelity.

In the latest issue of Details, the Game of Thrones actor told the magazine that the notes read, "'You should know that your husband is cheating on you with Cameron Diaz. Cameron Diaz is not to be trusted.'"

Thankfully, Nukaaka didn't take such rumors seriously.

"My wife just laughed," Coster-Waldau added. "But still."

Unfortunately, this most likely won't be the last time the 43-year-old star will be a tabloid target.

"He's handsome as hell, which makes him a very easy person to hate," director Nick Cassavetes, who helmed The Other Woman, told Details. "But he'd better get used to it, because he's going to be the biggest movie star. I'm serious. He's got the looks, the talent, the charisma -- I'm flipping through scripts right now looking for parts for him."

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones returns April 6 on HBO, and The Other Woman hits theaters April 25.
