Prepare for an overdose of '90s nostalgia!

Two of the '90s most beloved TV stars, Candace Cameron Bure (Full House's DJ Tanner!) and Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years' Winnie Cooper!), are competing against each other on Dancing With the Stars' 18th season, which debuted Monday, March 17. But as it turns out, this isn't the first time the gorgeous ladies have battled it out against each other.

After their DWTS debut, E! News chatted with Candace and Danica backstage at the ABC reality hit, where they revealed the decade-long rivalry that's been going on between the two of them!

OK, so rivalry is a bit of a stretch, as we want to make it clear that Candace and Danica are very good friends and have been for a long time, but that doesn't mean they've never gone after the same guy! Enter: Jeremy Miller, the Growing Pains star who dated both of the ladies back in the day!

"I knew that Candace's was Jeremy's ex-girlfriend. I mean, look, we were 13. Nothing was happening," Danica told E! News. "But like, I didn't know that he broke up with her for me. Like, I really didn't know that until last week!" She then joked that they may have to settle this on the show with "mud-wrestling...that's one of the new twists in the show. I'm kidding!"

And Candace was also quick to downplay the tangled teen romance web, clarifying that it was "a love triangle when we were like 11...we were like 11, I was not allowed to date until I was 16, so you can imagine it was a really big love triangle."

Of course, Candace is so not sweating losing Jeremy to Danica all those years ago, joking that she's "so bitter," before saying, "I have a wonderful husband of 20 years and three gorgeous children!" (Candace is married to Russian hockey player Valeri Bure.)

But the dating shenanigans didn't end with Candace and Danica as Big Time Rush boy bander James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd revealed during the show that they actually went on "several" dates before being paired together on DWTS. However, James isn't convinced that people will stop asking about their history just because they addressed it head-on so early in the competition.

"I want to say no, but I'm pretty sure they're going to keep asking the same questions," he said, while Peta was a bit more optimistic.

"I don't think they will," she told us. "That was a pretty strong package, that was very bold, blunt, in your face...they can't do one of those again!"

What did you think of DWTS' premiere? Who do you think is the early frontrunner? Sound off in the comments!
