On the series premiere of The Fabulist, hosts Kristin Cavallari and Orly Shani talked the hottest upcoming trends with two of fashion's most connected and in-the-know stylemakers: The Face host Nigel Barker and supermodel Jessica White.

The first trend covered was slouchy pants, which Kristin suggested would be "the next best thing" for the everyday girl. While Orly agreed that slouchy pants are extremely versatile for day-to-night wear, Nigel and Jessica took the opposite stance, calling the trend "confusing" and not figure-flattering. Looks like we're at a fashion standstill on this one!

Going braless was the next trend to be featured (à la Liza Minnelli at the Oscars), although Jessica immediately pointed out that one "cannot wear this trend if you can lift up your breast and put a pencil under it." If only we could all be like Jennifer Aniston...

Kristin thought the ombre lip trend looked too time-consuming, while Nigel referred to it as "drag-alicious." Orly gave a demonstration for everyone using two shades of lip gloss, resulting in a gorgeous, subtle ombre lip.

Other trends that the panel loved were ear cuffs, boxed wine, matte black (the color itself) and headscarves.

Jessica pulled off an effortlessly glamorous headscarf in seconds, then helped Orly as she attempted to mimic a similar look. This easy accessory has been seen on everyone from Rihanna to Nicole Richie and can even be paired with sunglasses or hoop earrings for an extra hint of style.
