So it seems for Katharine McPhee and longtime love Nick Cokas, all smiles while out together again on Sunday as they continue to work on their marriage in the wake of scandal caused when McPhee was caught kissing her Smash director (and Mary McCormack's husband) Michael Morris last year.
The singer-actress and Cokas were standing close and appeared to be enjoying themselves while spotted walking in Los Angeles.
The couple, who've been married for just over three years but have been a couple since before McPhee tried out for American Idol in 2005, were living apart as recently as November, but neither made any move to make their separation official.
After the cheating news broke, it was revealed that McPhee and Cokas had quietly split up nearly four months prior.
McPhee stopped seeing Morris for good not long afterward, but a pic of her and Cokas walking their dogs last weekend marked the first time they had been photographed together since the controversy. They also had coffee together during the same outing.
A source then confirmed to E! News that the couple have been working on their marriage.
Yesterday, McPhee was wearing a gold ring on her left pinky finger, but didn't appear to be wearing a wedding band.
There have been no legal moves on the McCormack-Morris front in the meantime. The In Plain Sight star has been married to Morris since 2003 and they have three daughters together.
