Lady Gaga was on hand to deliver the SXSW keynote speech Friday morning.

The "Applause" singer was dressed head-to-toe in clear trash bags, naturally, and touched upon a range of topics like her personal life, upcoming career moves and being constantly compared to other pop stars.

She also explained a bit of background behind her shocking performance last night, where she sang "Swine" as someone vomited all over her.

"I've known Millie [Brown] for I think like five years now and we've actually collaborated before…she was just in town and so we thought we would collaborate again," she told the audience.

"It was just exciting to see people talk about performance art on the internet. We really just did it because we believe in the performance and we believe in what it meant to the song."

But she did admit to being worried that her team wouldn't approve of her latest onstage antics.

"I asked my publicist if she quit in the middle of the show!" she said while laughing.

Gaga, who confessed to releasing her next music video next Saturday, also touched upon the perceived lack of success of her current album.

"I'm very proud…I'm held to such an insane standard and it's almost like everybody forgets where the music business is now," she shared.

Gaga also revealed that she loathes comparisons to other female singers like Katy Perry—who released her single "Roar" on the same day as Mother Monster last year.

"I don't know what the f--k I have to do with Katy Perry. My music is so completely different and I couldn't be more different."

So what's next for the soon-to-be 28-year-old?

Aside from an eight-night gig at Roseland Ballroom in the next several weeks, she revealed one tidbit that will make Little Monsters go berserk.

"I have a whole second act of Artpop," she confessed. Yep, that's right, it turns out that Gaga's got another volume completely finished and ready to go!

But whether she will release it is an entirely other question…
