The Colombian bombshell and Modern Family actress is thriving in her career as one of the highest-paid stars on television, and continues to pile on more off-screen projects to further build her brand.
According to WWD, the stunning star is unveiling a new fragrance next month, a smart addition to her range of money-making opportunities including her Kmart fashion line and spokespeson roles with Cover Girl, Head & Shoulders, Rooms to Go and more.
If there's one thing that's certain, it's that Vergara is a smart businesswoman, making calculated moves to increase her net worth with every inked deal.
She tells the publication that she could have easily launched a perfume earlier, but wanted to make sure everything was in the right place before lending her name to any product.
"I wanted to make sure it was a great product and that I was going with the right people. I usually don't like getting into things where I don't have a say. I just don't want to give them my name and say, ‘Do whatever you want.' I am trying to create my brand," she said. "I've been able to do many other projects. I have my clothing line, the makeup, the hair, the furniture, and this was something that really rounds out my brand."
As for the Sofia scent itself, it's packaged in a gorgeous light pink bottle and best described as an oriental floral fragrance.
It boasts top notes including blackberry, sparkling cassis buds and plum combined with exotic blends of heavenly floral notes derived from Vergara's home country.
"I have orchids and roses because those are my favorite flowers, and they're Colombian. I wanted to bring a little bit of who I am, my ethnicity, where I'm from, and I thought it was very cool to be able to get flowers from Colombia actually into the perfume," she explained.
Sounds like this pretty perfume is much like the star herself: sexy, feminine and wildly enchanting.
