"Y'all are my favorite band in country music."

Hey, that's pretty high praise coming from arguably the top male solo artist in country music right now, which is exactly what The Voice coach Blake Shelton is.

As we exclusively reported, Shelton tapped The Band Perry as his team's advisors for the sixth season of his NBC reality hit, and now we're sharing an exclusive web clip of the country crooner sitting down with his favorite band.

Or are they?! In the video, the band questions Shelton's claim, as they heard he was singing a different tune to another popular country band...

"Lady Antebellum told us that you told them that they were your favorite band," they accuse.

Oh snap! So how does Shelton defend himself? Watch our exclusive clip above to find out. Plus, the band reveals their mission for 2014: make Shelton bring back the mullet! But is he down for some business-in-the-front-party-in-the-back action?

The Band Perry, who is up for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2014 ACM Awards, will make their debut as Shelton's musical advisors in the highly anticipated battle rounds, which begin on Monday, March 17.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and The Voice are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
