Happy Birthday, Jaimie Alexander!

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star turns 30 on Wednesday, and in honor of her special day, we thought we'd take a look back at some of her best looks.

Obviously, we have to start off with the infamous, very sheer gown she wore to the Thor: The Dark World premiere in November. She claimed she had "something" on under the ultra-revealing black Azzaro Couture dress, but wouldn't go any further on that.

She joked with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show that moving around in the sexy frock required "flexing every muscle that I don't have." A rep for Jaimie told E! News the actress and her stylist Emilie Pereira knew the dress was daring, "but this one was a fashion risk she felt worth taking."

"Jaimie, Emilie and her seamstress were meticulous to ensure that proper measures were taken to so that there were no wardrobe malfunctions," her rep explained. "Jaimie felt extremely confident in the gown or we would have gone in another direction." And this look definitely did get people talking!

Jaimie wore another sexy black ensemble to the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The floor length Marc Bouwer gown did have an open back, plunging neckline and curve-hugging silhouette, but it was still significantly more modest than her racy Thor dress.

And while Ms. Alexander is a fan of wearing all black, she's also not afraid to dress in bright colors! The brunette beauty wowed in a vibrant yellow dress at at the premiere of Iron Man 3 —and showed off her adorable bob haircut!

She also livened up her look with some color at the NYC premiere of Pain and Gain in April, wearing a black and red (!) number while carrying a hot pink purse.

And just last month, Jaimie took that aforementioned bob to a new level, debuting a sleek, sexy pixie cut on Twitter.

This birthday babe can make any look work!
