Don't dig a grave for Resurrection!

The ABC drama, starring Omar Epps, premiered Sunday night to huge numbers. Sandwiched in between two of the network's most popular series, Once Upon a Time and Revenge, Resurrection debuted with an astounding 13.3 million viewers and a 3.6 rating.

With these numbers, Resurrection has earned the title of the best midseason drama debut since NBC's 2012 premiere of Smash. In addition, the miraculous drama is now also ABC's best audience/demo in the time slot since January 2010/January 2011. Praise the TV gods!

The network also saw favorable midseason premiere ratings for their longstanding Sunday night series. Once Upon a Time's debut of Rebecca Mader as the Wicked Witch of the West snagged 7.3 million viewers and a 2.3 demo. Meanwhile, our backstabbing Hamptonites on Revenge stirred up an audience of 6.5 million with a 1.9 rating—that's up 20 percent in viewers from their midseason finale in December.

Resurrection airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
