Why are they toying with us? Don't laugh, that is not a pun, this is a serious situation, and we are very angry right now, hence the run-on sentence!

Sorry. We're just very worked up over this.

So, a video was released on Tuesday night that advertised the HUVr, a floating skateboard that is almost the identical model of the hoverboard from Back to the Future Part 2. You know, the thing we've all been dreaming about since we saw Marty (Michael J. Fox) ride around town on it.

Seriously, this commercial went all-out to promote the product from a company called HUVr Tech. Freakin' Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) showed up in a DeLorean to hand off the hoverboard to some testers. He waved it around as if to say, "Finally! It's here!"

Well, it's not here, Doc! So quit playing games with our hearts!

Celebs like Tony Hawk, Moby and former NFL star Terrell Owens all took their turns on the board, going on and on about the technology and how amazing it was to float around. As you can see in the video below, there's plenty of footage of people riding the HUVr and playing around with it. There's even a website for the HUVr where you can customize your own board, and there's a Back to the Future-esque clock at the top that says the destination time is December of 2014.

What does it all mean?

Nothing. Everything you know and love is a lie. And so is this.

It's all a hoax to promote…something. No one knows for sure what the point of this viral video is, but we're certain we'll find out soon.

Buzzfeed did some sleuthing and discovered that Funny or Die is behind all this. And if that's the case, we will never forgive them. No matter how many episodes of Between Two Ferns they give us.

If you want your heart broken, just watch the video below. And once you see how cool it all looks, just remind yourself that it's all fake and go to this website to press Darth Vader's "Nooooooooooooooo!"button.

This is bulls--t. But we won't stop believing. One day, the hoverboard will be real. You'll see. You'll alllllll see!
