When it comes to getting ready for what could be one of the biggest nights of her life, Cate Blanchett wisely chooses to keep things as simple as possible.

In a new interview with The Daily Mail, the Oscar-nominee reveals Sunday's routine will be very similar to her normal one, which means spending time with her kids."In the morning I've been taking chlorophyll with my son, so that's been fantastic. I also love grapefruit juice and I don't eat a lot of red meat. Hot water and lemon as well," she shares.

And while many Academy Award attendees will be hitting the gym for that last minute sweat session, Cate says: "I don't really [work out]. I have three boys so they keep me active. We walk a lot and run around a kick the ball and things like that."

Then she moves on to her skin care routine, which she describes as very "minimal," and only comprises of two SK-II products: "In terms of my regime every morning it's so simple I don't even have to think about it. It's literally the Essence, the Serum and then I would put the LXP moisturizer on every night," the 44-year-old says, adding: "I put the Essence in a beautiful spray bottle so then even after I've had my makeup done I'll nip to the bathroom and spray it on the top. You don't go out feeling powdery or like you've caked makeup on." Cate is currently the face of SK-II, a gig that she landed after being a loyal supporter for over 12 years.

After skin prep comes makeup, naturally. The Blue Jasmine actress says her couture gown will ultimately decided that step. "I love a good frock so if I'm going out it comes from that and the make-up goes accordingly," she explains. "You probably have to wear less and less as you get a bit older, because I feel more confident now in the quality of my skin then I did ten years ago."
