Leave it to Marc Jacobs to continuously push the envelope with exciting new twists when it comes to marketing for his brand.

It was just announced that Jessica Lange is the new face of his wildly successful beauty brand, a move that's surprising and refreshing at the same time.

The 64-year-old actress provided the eerie spoken-word soundtrack at his recent fall show in New York earlier this month, so it seems that the pair have a pretty solid relationship these days.

Intriguing!

In the campaign photo shot by David Sims, Lange stares out of a dimly lit room, a shadow partially covering her famous face.

She models a dramatic smoky eye that's heavy on gel eyeliner with a hint of moody gray blue eye shadow.

A faint peachy nude lip gloss completes her look, and a voluminous bouffant ‘do adds a retro appeal to the overall imagery.

In short, it's pretty spectacular, and we can't wait to see how else Lange lends herself to furthering the brand.

And similarly, Nars has also enlisted 68-year-old beauty Charlotte Rampling to front their 20th anniversary campaign, as well.

As a longtime muse of founder of Francois Nars, Rampling is surely an elegant and strong choice for the popular cosmetics giant.

Cheers to a more sophisticated set of ladies making a comeback in the beauty world!
