The Following

Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned.

The Following made a major kill in its last episode, offing one of the psycho twins, Luke (Sam Underwood), and his "mother" Lily (Connie Nielsen) is not handling the loss well. (Understatement of the century.)

In an exclusive promo for the Fox serial killer thriller's March 3 episode, ominously titled "Sacrifice," Lily has a creepy message for Ryan (Kevin Bacon) and will leave you with chills...and worrying for his niece Max's (Jessica Stroup) life.

"Hello Ryan, I'm sorry it's come to this," Lily says directly to the camera, "but you take from me, I take from you."

And Lily knew exactly what to "take" from Ryan to hurt his most: She's kidnapped Max, who we see get chloroformed, tied up and then later hanging from a hook in a room filled with torture weapons.

Scarily enough, this just seems to be the tip of the revenge iceberg for Lily, who oh-so-casually promises, "I have many more surprises for you, Ryan."

The Following airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
