Surviving Jack

Christopher Meloni (aka "the best butt on primetime") is inviting you over to his house!

OK, maybe not his house, but he is welcoming viewers into his character's house on Surviving Jack, his new comedy for Fox that premieres on Thursday, March 27.

In an exclusive video, the beloved Law & Order: SVU  star takes you behind-the-scenes of a photo shoot for the sitcom, which is set in the early '90s and is a "coming of age story," Meloni previews.

Included in this behind-the-scenes treat? Meloni taking selfies. And he also shows off his beeper. And there's also a booty shot. You're welcome, world!

NEWS: Chris Meloni talks about possibly returning to SVU

"Playing opposite Christopher Meloni is very exciting because he's super passionate about all aspects of the show," Rachael Harris, Meloni's on-screen wife, says, before admitting, "He's got the best butt on primetime!" No arguments there, lady!

Based on Justin Halpern's book "I Suck at Girls," the show centers on Meloni's character Jack Dunlevy, a military vet, becoming a full-time parent to his two teenage kids (Played by Claudia Lee and Connor Buckley) when his wife goes back to school. Hijinks, naturally, ensue.

Meloni recently talked to E! News about switching back over to comedy after spending 12 seasons going after perps on SVU.

"It's very refreshing to wake up every day and go, ‘I'm going to try and have some laughs today. I'm going to try and play,'" Meloni said. "You carry with you if you spend the day beating someone up or whatever, as opposed to enjoying and messing around. You carry these things with you a little bit."

Surviving Jack premieres Thursday, Mar. 27 on Fox.
