The people of Seattle want to see Christian Grey as they drive down the road, too!

Last month, Fifty Shades of Grey fans got their first look of the anticipated adaptation's billboard for the film, which was a gray-tinted sleek snapshot featuring a dapper Jamie Dornan clad in a fitted suit, standing with his back to the camera and facing the Seattle skyline.

The billboard, which was scheduled to appear in five different locations, had yet to grace Grey's hometown. And the people are not happy about that.

The billboard was said to be set up in New York (Grand St. & 6th Ave), Los Angeles (Wilshire Blvd. & Gayley), Chicago (LaSalle & Hubbard), San Francisco (Mission St. & 6th), and the main setting of the book, Seattle (1st St. & Wall St.).

A source has told E! News that angry fans have contacted the mayor's office, asking where the giant promotional poster is, adding that they're upset because this is where the movie is set, so it's unfair to have the billboard up in New York, Los Angeles and other locations, yet not in Seattle. Understandable.

This is not the first bit of controversy to be sparked surrounding the Fifty Shades billboard. Mad Men star January Jones Instagrammed a picture of the movie poster and wrote, "Does this look familiar to anyone else?" The 36-year-old actress even made it crystal clear what she was referring to, adding the hashtag #madmenpostercicrca2010. Yikes!

Aside from billboard controversy, E! News has learned that Dakota Johnson was filming a running scene today in Vancouver.

We're also told that shooting is ahead of schedule, and the cast and crew have been leaving early from set, with the last shoot date scheduled being Feb. 23. Today on set it was just Dakota and her body double. Dakota and director Sam Taylor-Johnson were seen chatting and laughing while on set together, with Dakota putting her arm around her at one point.

Johnson recently spoke highly of her colleagues to Vanity Fair, saying the cast and crew has been very positive. "It's been a very smooth and fun and creative experience. I think going into something like this, you kind of have fears of what it could be like and none of those fears are happening. We all get along really well and the crew's amazing. We're just all trying to make this project the best it can be."
