Shirley Temple Dies at 85: Emmy Rossum, Bo Derek and More Celebs Mourn Loss of Beloved Child Star

Shirley Temple was more than just a child star who turned out OK—she was a Hollywood icon who went on to make the world a better place.

On Monday, sadly, the 85-year-old actress turned diplomat died of natural causes at her home in Woodside, Calif., her rep confirmed to E! News. Temple's family released a statement "[saluting] her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and most importantly as our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and adored wife of 45 years."

She will certainly be missed. Hollywood took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Temple and praise her for the incredibly legacy she leaves behind.
