Well, at least he's in good company.

Samuel L. Jackson appeared on Los Angeles morning show KTLA on Monday, where he was expected to promote his new film Robocop, but the 65-year-old actor suddenly switched up his agenda after anchor Sam Rubin confused him with Laurence Fishburne.

And it's safe to say a simple "I'm sorry" was not a satisfactory response in Jackson's book.

The mistake occurred when Rubin asked the Pulp Fiction star about the reaction he received in response to his recent Super Bowl commercial. However, Samuel didn't actually appear in the Matrix-themed Kia commercial…Laurence Fishburne did.

"You're as crazy as the people on Twitter," the actor said, shaking his finger at Rubin. "I'm not Laurence Fishburne!"

Despite Rubin's attempt to apologize, Jackson continued, gleefully taking the anchor to task on live television.

"We don't all look alike! We may be all black and famous but we don't all look alike!" he said as Sam throws his hands in the air.

"You're busted. You're the entertainment reporter?! And you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? There must be a very short line for your job," Jackson said, clearly not holding back (but also having what looked to be a bit of fun at Rubin's fumble).

And when Rubin suggested the two "talk about the movie," the Avengers star seemingly thought that was the worst suggestion he's ever heard.

"Oh hell no! Really? Really?!" he exclaimed before attempting to further distinguish himself from Fishburne. "There's more than one black guy doing commercials. I'm the ‘What's in your wallet?' black guy," he said, referencing his Capital One credit card commercials. "He's [Fishburne's] the car black guy — Morgan Freeman is the other credit card black guy. You only hear his voice though, so you probably won't confuse him with Laurence Fishburne."

And in case that wasn't enough to publicly shame the anchor, Jackson ended his playful rant by saying, "I've actually never done a McDonald's or Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial. I know that's surprising. And I'm the only black guy in Robocop that's not a criminal."

Rubin proceeded to apologize on air shortly after the painful exchange and he also took to Twitter writing, "Hang on world…I am at the Oscar Lunch still working. I'll have more to say about @tmz & @TheTalk_CBS Almost amusing to be story of the day."

Lucky for Rubin, the anchor is in good company, as The Hollywood Reporter made the exact same mistake in an article published about the same Kia commercial in which the publication misidentified Laurence Fishburne as Samuel L Jackson.

In other news, reporters everywhere—including Piers Morgan!—are now taking extreme precautions prior to interviewing Jackson.
