E! News has learned the 43-year-old mother of one has rented an apartment in NYC, where she and her 3-year-old daughter Bryn can enjoy a little one-on-one time together.
"Bethenny rented an apartment so that she and Bryn could spend quality time together," a source exclusively tells E! News. "Bethenny doesn't want to disrupt Bryn's life in any way, so the place she rented is close to their other home. They're only spending some of the time there."
As for why the former Real Housewives of New York star decided to rent her own pad?
"The reason Bethenny did it is that Jason is still living at the original home," the source revealed. "On the weekends, his parents come and sleep on the sofas. It's incredibly uncomfortable for Bethenny and it gives her and Bryn no space to have one on one time."
In October, Frankel revealed on her talk show Bethenney that she and her ex were still living under the same roof. The Skinnygirl founder filed for divorce from Hoppy in January 2013 after two years of marriage, and in September, Hoppy was photographed still wearing his wedding ring, a whopping nine months after the couple announced their separation.
"Jason is still holding out on signing off on the divorce," the source claimed.
Despite the complicated divorce proceedings, Frankel is moving on with her life, and has found happiness with her new man, Michael A. Cerussi (who goes by "Mac"). The pair was last seen packing on the PDA over the New Year in Miami and a source confirmed to E! News at the time that the two are casually "dating."
"Bethenny and Mac are doing great," the insider shared. "He treats her really, really well and she's very happy. They're together all the time."
"He hasn't met Bryn yet," the source added. "Bethenny sees him when she doesn't have her daughter. Everything's going in a good direction."
