Here at The Trend we're in the business of keeping track of what's hot and what trends are dead and buried.

From the newest dating apps to tragic fashion fads that are on their way out the door, we're keeping you in the know when it comes to what's hot and what is sadly ice cold.

Keep reading to find out what trends are next, now or never to be again.

NEXT: Hinge Dating App

Attention, singles! Dating websites are a thing of the past, and now it's all about dating apps. Hinge is the next app that's about to take off in a major way. But unlike Tinder—where you endlessly swipe through singles—Hinge curates potential matches for you every day based on your interests and mutual Facebook friends. Hinge is only available in a handful of big cities right now, but we're guessing it's going to be nation-wide pretty soon.

NOW: Menswear Inspired Fashion

Menswear-inspired trends make their way on to the runways every season, but this trend has hit its stride right now and is going more mainstream. Case in point: Anne Hathaway. The actress has been stepping out to red carpet events in menswear staples like a tailored blazer or trousers. And the best thing about trying out the menswear trend is that you're in pants and flats, so you're bound to feel comfy all day.

NEVER: Cutoff Shorts

Unless you're at Coachella on a boiling hot day, cutoff shorts just aren't appropriate. On second thought, we wouldn't even recommend wearing them then. Wear a cute maxi dress, instead! Don't wear cutoffs grocery shopping. Don't pair them with UGG boots and go pick up your dry cleaning. No matter how casual the setting, ultra-short denim cutoffs are never the answer.
