Pharrell's hat is due to make an encore at this year's Academy Awards!

It's just been announced that the rapper is slated to perform "Happy" at the 2014 Oscars.

Hmmm…we can't wait to see what the "Get Lucky" singer opts to wear on stage!

The upbeat pop track, which is nominated for Best Original Song, was featured in the Despicable Me sequel earlier this year.

Other nominees include U2's "Ordinary Love" from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Karen O's "The Moon Song" from Her and "Let It Go" from the Disney flick Frozen.

There was recently quite a bit of drama in the Best Song category…

On Jan. 28, the Academy's Board of Governors voted to rescind on of the nominations after issues were raised with campaigning during the voting period.

"Alone Yet Not Alone," with music by Bruce Broughton and lyrics by Dennis Spiegel (from Alone Yet Not Alone) was pulled from the list of nominees.

The decision came about after it was revealed that Broughton, a former governor and current Music Branch executive committee member, had emailed branch members during the nomination-voting period to make them aware that he had submitted his song.

Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs released the following statement: "No matter how well-intentioned the communication, using one's position as a former governor and current executive committee member to personally promote one's own Oscar submission creates the appearance of an unfair advantage."

The Academy decided not to name another nominee in the Original Song category as a replacement.
