What's better than one Jake Gyllenhaal? Two Jake Gyllenhaals!

In a new trailer for his upcoming drama Enemy, the 33-year-old actor comes face to face with himself under mysterious circumstances.

The dark trailer begins with Gyllenhaal's character, a shy professor, watching a movie and realizing he has an exact look-alike. After discovering his doppelganger, Gyllenhaal seeks out the man to learn more about his bizarre and elusive twin. Needless to say, his character begins to lose it a little.

The climax of the trailer comes when Gyllenhaal finally confronts his doppelganger during a hotel meet-up.

Enemy director Denis Villeneuve recently revealed that Gyllenhaal played both characters and often used stand-in actors when he had to shoot scenes where he confronted himself.

"Jake had to make us believe there was someone else in front of him," he told Yahoo, adding of the film, "It's an exploration inside yourself. Sometimes you have compulsions that you can't control coming from the subconscious...they are the dictator inside ourselves."
