O! M! G!

Stephen Colbert is the luckiest person in the world because he actually got to experience what it would be like to play in the Puppy Bowl.

In a sketch for his show The Colbert Report this week, the 49-year-old funnyman hit an actual football field to practice for his big day with the dogs. Colbert is shown suited up in a football uniform before engaging in some plays with pro players. He also gets some comedic words of advice from famed coach Joe Gibbs.

"Stephen, I've coached many men, but none like you. You combine charisma, looks and athleticism into one dazzling package," Gibbs says to Colbert before rambling, "So go out there and win one for The Gipper, by which I mean Ronald Reagan. Show me the money. Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret. Eye of the tiger."

After all the preparation, it's then revealed that Colbert isn't actually playing in the 2014 Super Bowl. He gets to hit the field with tons of puppies. The adorable image of dogs jumping all over Colbert has us all kinds of jealous.

Then, Colbert gives a halftime speech to his four-legged teammates in the Puppy Bowl locker room. "Listen up!" he says. "I don't know what the hell you think you're doing out there but it sure as s--t ain't football! This is the Puppy Bowl, goddamn it."
