In a brand new interview with the Today show's Savannah Guthrie, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg is reflecting on the decade anniversary of the global social networking site.
"I remember really vividly, you know, having pizza with my friends a day or two after I opened up the first version of Facebook at my school," the 29-year-old said. "And, you know, I was just really excited that we were doing it at one school."
Zuckerberg continued, "And, you know, at the time I thought, 'You know, someone needs to build a service like this for the world.' I always thought that was this incredibly important thing to have happen. But I just never thought that we'd be the ones to help do it. And, you know, when I look back over the last 10 years one of the questions that I ask myself is, 'Why? Why were we the ones to help do this?' And I think a lot of what it comes down to is, we just cared more."
Facebook's decade of success is undeniable. Zuckerberg is worth over $3.2 billion and the site has way over one billion users around the world!
