Fangirl City here we come!

New Girl fans everywhere busted out their Phantom Planet CDs and yamaclauses when it was announced that former O.C. star Adam Brody (aka Seth Cohen aka one of TV's most iconic characters ever) would be making a guest appearance on the Fox hit sitcom.

Well, prepare to revert back to your teenage self all over again as we've got your exclusive first look at Brody's highly anticipated New Girl debut as Jess' ex, Berkeley, and it's pretty easy to see why they were so into each other: they pretty much make the most perfect hipster couple ever. (We've got a thing for a man in a sweater, don't ask.)

And get this—he's a hipster stay-at-home dad. Excuse us while we melt like a popsicle of the Fourth of July.

Oh, and may we ask a favor in advance of the airing of Brody's episode, "Exes," on Tuesday, Feb. 4? If Brody, who next stars opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in the upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle, holds a baby at any point, please tell our mother we loved her. That would be hard to do from beyond the grave.

So what brings Berkeley back into Jess' life? Our adorkable heroine introduces her ex to her current beau Nick in order to prove to him that exes can remain friends after he has a run-in with his former girlfriend, Caroline (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). We're sure this will end well!

P.S. Any other O.C. fans kind of obsessed with the fact that Brody's character's name is Berkeley, given that's where Seth's parents Sandy and Kirsten fell in love and ultimately ended up moving back into their old house there at the end of the series. So many feelings.

New Girl airs an all-new episode (guest-starring Prince!) after the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 2, while Adam Brody makes his debut on the Fox hit's all-new episode, airing Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 9 p.m.
