Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys sure are some sexy spies.
The Americans costars, who portray a KGB couple during the Reagan era posing as American man and wife, steam up the pages of the latest issue of GQ. In several sultry photographs, Russell strips down to her lingerie and straddles her onscreen—and possible offscreen—love interest.
Although the duo do not dish about their own relationship status, they did open up about their complicated characters on the hit FX series.
"I love that she's a mom who doesn't always get it right," the 37-year-old actress reveals about her character. "She's making a bologna sandwich for her kids one minute and then blowing a guy in a hotel for intel the next."
The handsome pair engages in some violent scenes on the espionage thriller show, but sometimes the Felicity alum beats on the Welsh thesp in real life too.
"The smack usually comes the second before they say 'Action,'" Rhys says of Russell's pre-take pump-up routine. "Basically I am starting every scene with a slightly shocked look on my face and a red handprint on my cheek."
Dating rumors between Russell and Rhys heated up after the mother of two announced her separation from her husband of seven years, Shane Deary.
People magazine reported that the duo was spotted walking around her Brooklyn Heights neighborhood a few days before Christmas, shopping and looking at furniture on the street.
"They looked very much like a couple," a source tells the mag. "They were laughing and walking closely together."
Reps did not return a request for comment.
