Celebs took major fashion risks on the red carpet that fell flat

Oh, say it isn't so!

While we absolutely loved many of the gorgeous gowns seen on our favorite celebs tonight at the 2014 SAG Awards, there were a few major misses on the red carpet, too.

When it came to rounding up the worst dressed celebs on the night, we were sadly disappointed to see a number of talented actors among the bunch.

Cate Blanchett can usually do no wrong in our eyes, but in the case of her pale pink Givenchy gown, we had to avert our eyes from the unflattering design.

The oversized ruffle detail added unnecessary volume to her statuesque figure, and the sparkly sequined trim felt much too juvenile for the elegant actress.

Amanda Peet also stepped out in a curious design featuring sequin embellishment and sheer sleeves—a look that simply didn't translate well for the major awards show.

And then there was Lena Headey, who, like other stars including Malin Akerman, Juliette Lewis and Edie Falco, picked a patterned dress that proved to be far too overwhelming for the red carpet.

Eek!
