Carly Rae Jepsen is seriously enjoying the princess life.
The "Call Me Maybe" singer shared this picture with her Twitter followers and captioned the photo, "Literally having a ball. @cinderellabway #cinderellabway."
The pop star is currently gearing up for her Broadway debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella which kicks off Feb. 4.
Jepsen, 28, has been documenting her fairy-tale preparations on social media for weeks as she rehearses and tries on whimsical dresses. In this latest pic, Jepsen is beaming as she sports a sparkly crown and gracefully twirls around in an ivory gown, looking remarkably similar to the classic character.
The 12-week stint is a real-life dream come true for the singer, and she is beyond thrilled for the opportunity.
"Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale," she said. "I've always been one to believe in the impossible, so I relate to her character completely."
The announcement was made in December that Jepsen would be replacing Laura Osnes, who received a Tony nomination for her role in the musical.
However, not everyone was a fan of the singer's newest career venture. Modern Family star Sarah Hyland went on a Twitter rant to express her feelings about the casting switch.
"Today's a meltdown day," she posted. "Carly Rae jepsen is going to be cinderella??? On broadway???? NOT OK WITH THIS. Tell me it's gonna be ok @LauraOsnes."
Jepsen isn't letting the drama faze her. In addition to Broadway, she is also working on a new album which is scheduled for release in early 2014.
