While attending the 2014 Golden Globes, first-time nominee Greta Gerwin, did the smart thing: She played it safe on the red carpet.
Opting for a LBD by Donna Karan Atelier with Fred Leighton jewelry and Christian Louboutin pumps, the actress paired her look with a simple low bun (one of the night's biggest beauty trends) and natural makeup.
"Greta had a true vision of what she wanted – a fairytale princess moment. Greta is so naturally beautiful, so we wanted to enhance her features and stray away from anything too dramatic," explained celeb makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen for Marc Jacobs Beauty. "We wanted to achieve a romantic yet playful look – just like her black tulle dress. We kept a light, subtle palette with bold, black lashes to match the dress."
And while Brigitte was perfecting her rustic eye shadow effect with Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 Plush Shadow in The Vamp, Tresemme hair stylist John D. was completing the Frances Ha star's elegant knot.
"Our inspiration for tonight was purely feeling beautiful," shared John D. "To complement her DKNY gown, we opted for a soft romantic 'do' to help achieve an elegant, classic, and romantic look."
