Taylor Swift didn't spend all her time dancing the night away with her girlfriends after the Golden Globes.

The pop-country superstar was also spotted chatting up Jared Leto at the InStyle-Warner Bros. afterparty at the Beverly Hilton, just down the hall from where the main event took place.

Who knows what kept the conversation going, but surely part of it was a congratulations to the bun-and-beard-rocking Leto for his major win, best supporting actor in a motion picture for Dallas Buyers Club.

Our sources can't say whether Swift, 23, and Leto, 42, were meeting for the first time or not—but they looked pretty cozy when posing for pics together. (Also kind of badass? The statuesque Swift, who changed from her stunning red Carolina Herrera gown into a flirty little black number by Julien Macdonald for the afterparty, couldn't help but be taller in her heels.)

Of course, the name of the game last night—and the wee hours of this morning—was high-spirited camaraderie among the Hollywood-and-beyond set.

Also celebrating at this particular (and particularly crowded—some celebs actually had to stand in line to get in!) party were Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr (!), Olivia Wilde, Nina DobrevJon VoightChris Pine, Julianne Hough, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne, Anna Gunn, Katie Lowes, Chris O'Donnell, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Joanna Garcia Swisher, Vanessa Hudgens and many more.

Swift, who brought brother Austin with her to the ceremony, didn't let any disappointment whatsoever show (of course, we can only imagine what she looked like at the moment of truth) after losing out to U2 for best original song.

Leto, of course, had more than the free champagne to celebrate, not least of which being the huge boost his supporting-actor Oscar chances just got from last night's win.

Winning a Golden Globe "allows you to a chance to put your flag in the ground and say thank you to all of the people who mean so much and who have helped you create these crazy, creative, wild wonderful things," he told E! News backstage.
