Kerry Washington didn't walk the red carpet with Nnamdi Asomugha at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday, Jan. 12, but the pregnant actress did bring her husband to the Weinstein Company and Netflix's official afterparty later that night. It was there that the press-shy pair were photographed together for the very first time since getting married in June 2013.
Washington, 36, dressed her baby bump in a custom Balenciaga gown. The Scandal star and Best Actress in a Television Series (Drama) nominee accessorized with Casadei shoes, a Movado watch and Fred Leighton jewelry. Asomugha, 32, looked dapper in a Gucci black peak lapel, one-button Signoria tuxedo. He completed his look with a white evening shirt, black tie and a pair of black leather lace-ups.
During the star-studded bash, the pregnant actress and the former NFL player chatted up Fruitvale Station actress Melonie Diaz. Washington was also seen mingling with Usher and Monica Potter and posed for pictures with her Scandal costars Dan Bucatinsky and Bellamy Young. The event was sponsored by Bombardier, FIJI Water, Lexus, Laura Mercier, Marie Claire And Yucaipa Films.
Washington's pregnancy was first announced in October 2013, though she didn't confirm the happy news until she spoke to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Rubbing her baby bump, the TV star said, "I feel like I have the best date of the night, my little accessory here."
