Amy Poehler finally got her due on Sunday, Jan. 12.

The beloved Parks and Recreation actress was named Best Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy) at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills after losing in 2012 and 2013. The first-time winner, who co-hosted the show with BFF Tina Fey, called the accolade "very unexpected" when she spoke to E!'s own Jason Kennedy after the show.

"I think I'm 0 for 13 in these awards shows, so I was very, very, very surprised to win and very excited," said an exuberant Poehler, 42.

The Saturday Night Live alum also admitted that co-hosting the show for the second year in a row was less daunting. "We wanted to do well and not have a sophomore slump, and also we kind of knew how it went. Every time I do anything with Tina, it feels really familial and comfortable. But it was really exciting," Poehler said. "And I got to make out with Bono, so that's not bad."

Poehler's boyfriend, comedic actor Nick Kroll, jokingly warned the U2 frontman and two-time Golden Globe winner to back off his ladylove. "Hey Bono, watch your back," The Kroll Show star tweeted.

During her chat with Kennedy, Poehler also revealed how she planned to celebrate her victory. "I just go straight into my jet and I fly across the ocean and I dump oil all over the United States," she quipped. In all seriousness, Poehler added, "I'd like to go right into my bed."
