So on Monday, Jan. 6, Tori—along with kids Liam, Stella, Hattie, and Finn—adopted an adorable black dog from a shelter in L.A. (Major props to the McDermott fam for saving a life and choosing to adopt not shop for their newest family member!)
Dean, 47, was noticeably absent as his wife, 40, and kids picked up their adorable addition. As one insider told E! News Monday, the spouses "recently moved a to house together…but since the cheating scandal, Dean hasn't been seen at the house very much. Right now he hasn't been there in several days."
The insider said Tori is "trying to keep things together for her kids and is putting on a happy face," explaining that the former Beverly Hills 90210 star is "acting as normal as she can and sticking to the same consistent routine. She definitely doesn't want her kids to be affected by what's going on."
Well, adding a puppy to the family's menagerie of animals—which includes dogs, mini-pigs, goats and chickens—is definitely a good pick-me-up. And while Tori and Dean have both remained mum since the cheating rumors first surfaced a few weeks ago, one thing's for sure: Whatever happens, they'll both continue to put their kids' needs first!
