The 22-year-old star Instagrammed a photo of herself on the set of American Horror Story: Coven on Tuesday, Jan. 7, but there's one thing missing noticeably missing from the adorable photo of the actress: her diamond ring, which she was seen wearing on Sunday while out while beau Evan Peters amid rumors that the twosome got engaged over the holidays.
"Freezing day on set #ahs #coven," the blond beauty captioned the cute pic where she's sporting a furry coat while strategically holding a coffee mug in order to flash that ringless finger as she flaunts her bright red manicure.
Extra was the first to report, via sources, that the couple, who began dating in spring 2012, got engaged over the holidays in New York City before jetting off to London for New Year's Eve
The two then returned to New Orleans on Sunday, Jan. 5, to resume filming the wildly popular FX series where the We're the Millers star flashed the first, and, thus far, only glimpse of what appears to be a pink and gold diamond engagement ring.
If the lovebirds are engaged, they are certainly playing coy about their decision to take the plunge despite having opened up about their romance in the past.
And according to Roberts, for her and Peters, 26, it was anything but love at first sight after initially meeting on the set of the dark comedy Adult World.
"We didn't get along, actually—he wouldn't speak to me," the star recalled in the August 2013 issue of Nylon. "But it turned out that we both liked each other, so months later, we started dating, which worked out for the best."
Julia Roberts' niece—whose famous exes include Chord Overstreet and Alex Pettyfer—also revealed she's a hopeless romantic who truly believes in marriage. "I come from the school of getting married once," she explained. "Every relationship should be important. Everyone kind of rolls their eyes at me, but I still believe in the romantic movie outcome."
