The crash killed copilot Sergio Carranza Brabata and injured two others onboard, Colorado authorities said, per Today. Miguel Henriqez and Moises Carranza are being treated for their injuries (one is critical and the other is fair, but authorities have not said who is more seriously hurt).
Nealon tweeted what he was seeing as it happened, writing, "Horrible plane crash here at Aspen airport. Exploded into flames as it was landing. I think it was a private jet… Fire truck and ambulances were on the scene within minutes. I don't believe there are any survivors."
As more information became available, the Weeds star updated his followers. "Didn't look like there could be survivors," he wrote, "but just hearing some survived but critical."
Clearly shaken, Nealon wrote, "I think I'll drive back to LA after seeing that."
Rimes, also understandably upset from witnessing the crash, tweeted that her family was "Counting out blessings even more after seeing a tragedy & driving 7 hrs to Denver through tons of snow and traffic. Would have missed our flight if it wasn't delayed."
"We are being watched over, that's for sure," she wrote. "The boys [stepsons Mason and Jake] have been fantastic helpers. Eddie [Cibrian] is a stud for getting us through a VERY crowded airport with ease. @united your team in Denver was incredibly helpful as I know they were all very stressed."
"Hope all the other travelers make it home safely," she added, "and many prayers for the victims & their families of the #aspencrash in this heartbreaking time."
