Crystal Bowersox is letting her music do the talking.

After the American Idol runner-up revealed last month during an appearance on Good Day L.A., "I have been bisexual for as long as I can remember," the 28-year-old singer recently followed up with the song, "Coming Out for Christmas."

She told GregInHollywood.com that reaction to her coming out has been "overwhelmingly positive."

"People are like no matter what, dreads or no dreads, whatever your orientation is, my fans are die hard and I love them for it," Bowersox added. "They take me as I am."

Bowersox, who lost to Lee DeWyze during the ninth season of Idol, called it quits with husband Brian Walker in May 2013.

"After two and a half years, we have decided to end our marriage," the pair said in a statement at the time. "The friendship and love which brought us together remains strong, and we will continue to support each other in our careers and personal lives. We are hopeful that people will be respectful of our privacy as we face this emotional and challengint time for our family."

Bowersox has a son from a previous relationship.
