Ellie Goulding is once again opening up about her pals, royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton.

In the latest issue of Marie Claire U.K., the Brit singer dishes about having to keep her gig performing at the couple's royal wedding in 2011 a secret until the big day arrived.

"In the weeks before, everyone I know was talking about the wedding, and I was sat like [puts knuckles in her mouth], trying not to say anything," Goulding, 27, tells the mag. "I kept it to myself for so long—but no one would have believed me anyway."

The royal wedding day did come and Goulding got the chance to bond with Will and Kate. "I talked to William and Kate quite a bit," she said. "They're just a really awesome couple, lovely people, so I understand why people are fascinated by them."

"It was a really beautiful night," she added. "But then, I haven't been to many weddings."

Over the summer, Goulding opened up about the pressure of trying to buy a baby gift for Will and Kate's baby boy Prince George. "I fully intend to send William and Kate a gift for him, but I have no idea what to get," she admitted. "What do you give someone who has everything? Still, they're truly lovely people so I imagine they'd be grateful for anything."

Goulding revealed at the time that she hadn't seen Will and Kate since their wedding, but did say, "I saw Harry, though, three months ago when I performed for a charity event of his. I played quite late in the evening so everyone was a bit drunk!"
