What, pray tell, was Jay Mohr thinking?

After appearing with Alyssa Milano at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards gala earlier this month in Las Vegas, the Suburgatory actor reportedly went on the radio and slammed Milano's post-baby bod.

And he wasn't talking about "Melissa Milano," which is what he first called the Mistresses star on the air, according to various write-ups of the conversation, including one from the New York Daily News.

"She was one of the presenters," Mohr said. "She's very tiny, in height...It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don't really give a s--t'...I read it on her gut."

He also said, per reports, "Somebody sat in the director's chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ.'"

A number of responses would have been suitable in this particular case, but Milano went the classy route.

"@jaymohr37 So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me," the rather smokin' 40-year-old tweeted on Christmas Day. "Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife."

In response to the fans (and people with eyes) who immediately came to her defense, Milano added, "You're all lovely. Thank you for your kind words. #Appreciative."

Who's the boss now?

Looking at the pics of Milano in a one-shoulder red satin dress at the NASCAR banquet that accentuated her curves in the proper places, we're starting to wonder if Mohr spent the evening with fun-house glasses on.

The "beautiful wife" Milano was referring to is the lovely Nikki Cox, the former star of Las Vegas and Mohr's spouse of seven years.

Here's hoping she gave her hubby an etiquette lesson when he got home.
