This means a Christmas Day dress isn't always in the holiday budget. While we're sure these celebs aren't on quite the same savings plan as the rest of us, we'd still love to see them in a few of our favorite looks from 2013. It's the spirit of the season that counts, right?
Emmy Rossum's floral applique frock: The Oscar de la Renta stunner is among our favorites of the Shameless star's recent looks. It's a little spring-like for the big winter holiday, but the perfect choice for a warm-weather December location like L.A.
Freida Pinto in the chicest sari: We don't just love this Anamika Khanna Couture because of its connection to the Indian star's culture; we love it because that black-and-gold is the color combo of the season, and the bare midriff makes it sexy enough to wear out to a post-Christmas dinner party.
Kelly Clarkson's LRD: That would be Little Red Dress, of course, and the pop star has been wearing a ton of them since the release of her first Christmas album, Red. We love this one because it's as short as it is sweet, and because it hides the newlywed mom-to-be's baby bump perfectly.
Adele's blue/green beauty: Frankly we'd be happy if the Skyfall singer wore this Stella McCartney stunner to every major event for the rest of her life, but Christmas will do. Not only does the swing skirt fit her frame perfectly, but the thick fabric in a vintage-style pattern is an ideal combo of formal and fun, just like the holiday itself!
We'll obviously be tuning in to Instagram to see if these celebs will give us an actual peak at their December 25th choices...in our cozy jeans and cable knit sweaters. Leave the Christmas Day couture to the pros!
